At MYONEPACK, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s at the heart of everything we do. As a backpack provider that is deeply connected to nature and exploration, we recognize our responsibility to minimize our environmental footprint and contribute to a healthier planet. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

1. Optimized Packaging: Smaller Footprint, Bigger Impact

One of our first steps toward sustainability was rethinking our packaging. We swapped bulky cardboard boxes for streamlined mailer bags, significantly reducing the size and material used in our shipments. This not only minimizes waste but also decreases the overall volume and weight of packages. By maximizing space efficiency, shipping companies can transport more packages using the same amount of energy, reducing CO₂ emissions and lowering the carbon footprint of every order.

2. Recycled Materials: A Step Closer to Circular Economy

We’ve integrated recycled materials into our daily operations to lessen our impact. In our office, we prioritize recycled paper and eco-friendly supplies, while our packaging features Better Packaging shipping bags made from recycled plastic. These small yet impactful changes reflect our commitment to reducing waste and promoting sustainability in every aspect of our business.

3. Ethical Production: Prioritizing Quality and Responsibility

Our backpacks are currently manufactured in China, where we’ve partnered with carefully vetted suppliers (e.g HK) to ensure exceptional quality and fair working conditions. While this allows us to offer durable products at an accessible price, we remain committed to maintaining ethical practices throughout our supply chain.

4. Looking Ahead: A Sustainable Future

Innovation drives our sustainability journey. We’re actively exploring high-quality recycled materials for our backpacks but are yet to find options that meet our durability standards. Additionally, we aspire to bring production closer to home in Malaysia. This would not only reduce our carbon footprint but also support local craftsmanship and create job opportunities. As a small business, we’re working towards these goals step by step, knowing they represent a meaningful investment in a better future.

5. Giving Back: Clean Water for Borneo

MYONEPACK was inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and resilient communities of Borneo. During our expeditions, we witnessed the vital need for clean water access. That’s why, for every bag sold, we donate 1€ to clean water projects in Borneo. Together, we’re empowering communities and ensuring a basic human right—clean water.
